Developmental Editing

Provides high level feedback on your short story or novel such as plot structure, character development and thematic development. This kind of feedback is best for earlier draft versions of the work, as opposed to a near-final draft version that just needs editing for punctuation, syntax, grammar, etc.

Developmental Editing Pricing (by word count)

• Up to 5,000 words (≈ 15 double-spaced pages)
 $400 total — approx. $0.08 per word

• Up to 9,000 words (≈ 30 double-spaced pages)
 $1,000 total — approx. $0.11 per word

• Up to 15,000 words (≈ 50 double-spaced pages)
 $2,000 total — approx. $0.13 per word

• Novel-length manuscripts (≈ 80,000 words)
 $5,000 total — approx. $0.06 per word

Each option includes one fifty minute feedback consultation as well as written feedback.
